Vest Care Tips
Do not put in the washing machine, do not dry clean. Doing so can loosen the vest fabric, decrease the lifespan of the vest, and compromise the outer waterproof coating.
Remove the soft panels and hard plates before cleaning. Make sure the vest is fully dry before inserting panels and plates back in.
Do use a mild soap detergent with a damp cloth when spot cleaning. Avoid alcohol or bleach wipes, as it may break down the material.
Do hang the vest to dry. Do not put it in the dryer. Do not iron.
If the zipper feels difficult to close or open, wax the zipper teeth.
Whenever possible, use the zippers gently to preserve the lifespan. Always keep the zipper pockets fully closed or fully open. Harsh body movements with half-open pockets will put uneven pressure on the zipper which will loosen the zipper teeth. Zipper repair requires removal of all vest layers and can be costly, as the zipper is attached to the very first layer when making them.
